Rock & Roll Christmas: Clint Curtis & The Reflectors

As I write this, it’s early Monday morning. The weekend is over and there is a whole (snow-filled) week ahead of me.… If I’m going to make it through the door on time, I’m going to need all the help I can get.

Since I’m in this NL Christmas Music Advent Calendar mode, I’m relying on local seasonal songs to give me some ‘get-up and go.’ Fortunately, I know the perfect album for that.

Clint Curtis & The Reflectors 2017 holiday collection Rock and Roll Christmas has plenty of familiar holiday songs and more than enough energy to make me wanna move.

This morning I’ve got their cover of George Thorogood & The Destroyers’ “Rock and Roll Christmas” on repeat. It’s got lots of guitar (which ought to be no surprise, if you’re at all familiar with Curtis’ work) and a sort of surf-rock vibe.

Check it out — the whole album is festive fun.

When you’re done with that, move on to Curtis 2023 single ‘We Run.’

More Christmas and Holiday Music from Newfoundland & Labrador

Stay tuned for more great Christmas songs from Newfoundland and Labrador.

I'm a big fan of traditional Christmas music, I love to hear a modern rendition of a 300 year old carol but, occasionally, a brand new song comes to my attention and dominates my Christmas listening. Newfoundland and Labrador's musicians have been holding their own in both regards. I’ll be sharing local songs —both old and new— from now until Christmas in my 2023 NL Music Advent Calendar.
