Bloom by Alex Duffy

If you’re looking for a new anthem to carry you through the summer, Bloom by Alex Duffy is it.

Originally from Torbay, NL but now living in Calgary, Duffy has been crafting some seriously exciting music—but this latest track kicks it to a whole new level.

With its breezy indie vibe and uplifting energy, Bloom feels like the musical equivalent of rolling the windows down on the first warm day of the year. Duffy himself calls it his first upbeat song in a while, and I, for one, hope it’s not his last—because I’m absolutely here for it.

It’s only May, but I’m ready to crown Bloom my song of the summer.

Check it out wherever you get your music!

I’m obsessed with music from Newfoundland and Labrador…

It’s fresh, wild, and full of surprises. The artists here are pumping out so much new stuff, it’s hard to keep up. So, I started a playlist of my faves—tons of genres, but the only rule is they’re local and totally repeat-worthy. I update it regularly, so follow along (on Spotify, Apple Music or Youtube).

Trust me, there’s a ton of good stuff coming your way.

When the dogs are napping Robert takes photos, writes about Newfoundland, and makes a podcast.
