Don’t Let Them In
Sure, Halloween’s behind us — but who says spooky stories have an expiry date? Don’t Let Them In, a creepy and beautifully crafted short film from Newfoundland filmmaker Peter Collins, is now streaming on YouTube.
Following a successful festival run that took it from Chicago Horror Fest and New York’s Haunted House FearFest to FogFest NL and the Nickel Independent Film Festival, the film is finally ready to reach a wider audience.
Short, sharp, and creepy in all the right ways — the kind of story that might make you want to keep the lights on a little longer.
The 15-minute psychological horror stars Ashley Dingwell as Heather, a woman struggling to rebuild her life after an abusive relationship. But when she begins to suspect a vampiric, shape-shifting creature is trying to trick its way into her home, buried memories resurface — including a traumatic encounter with the same creature years before. With the help of a loyal friend, Heather must confront both her past and the monster that embodies it.
Don’t Let Them In is beautifully shot, well-paced, and packed with slow-burning suspense — the kind of smart, atmospheric horror that lingers long after the credits roll.
It’s not just perfect Halloween watching… it’s an eerie, emotional story that holds up any time of year.
