Ian Foster and Nancy Hynes: Old Christmas Day

It’s January 6th, Old Christmas Day — the traditional end of Christmas.

With that in mind, I’m going to take a few minutes to enjoy one last Christmas song before the season is done. Newfoundland-based artists Ian Foster and Nancy Hynes released their holiday collection A Week in December, in 2018.

It’s a fantastic album — beginning to end — but today I’m especially interested in playing the song ‘Old Christmas Day.’ It’s upbeat, optimistic and full of Old Christmas Day references. I highly recommend it — it’s a rare track that can make me want to dance while taking down the Christmas tree.

Check it out above.
