Oh Lena by Quote the Raven

Quote the Raven—Jordan Coaker and Kirsten Rodden-Clarke—have been making music together for over a decade, and it shows. The Newfoundland-duo have it knocked. With their new album Map The Dark, they’re not just making music—they’re crafting folk pop classics.

I’m a fan of the whole collection, but riding high on my playlists is "Oh Lena (feat. Joey Landreth)." Inspired by Jordan Coaker’s young niece, who dances “like a rocket ‘round the room.” The track serves the kind of hopeful, pop-roots energy I’ve been craving. It’s a great track on every level, and a definite antidote to the darkness.

Check it out now.

Map The Dark is out now wherever you stream your tunes.

I’m obsessed with music from Newfoundland and Labrador…

It’s fresh, wild, and full of surprises. The artists here are pumping out so much new stuff, it’s hard to keep up. So, I started a playlist of my faves—tons of genres, but the only rule is they’re local and totally repeat-worthy. I update it regularly, so follow along (on Spotify, Apple Music or Youtube).

Trust me, there’s a ton of good stuff coming your way.
