Peter Vance: Breaking Chains

Forget flux capacitors, there’s a faster way to get back to the 80’s - it’s Peter Vance’s new single Breaking Chains.

It takes me back.

I don’t want to lead you astray — Breaking Chains is definitely music for today… and tomorrow too.

It borrows some of the best of the 80s (like a great melody and sense of fun) and uses it to enhance what is, at its core, a very contemporary pop song. It belongs on repeat.

The lyrics, which are equally about a relationship and escaping the limits that hold you back, are relatable — who hasn’t wanted to break a chain or two in their days.

In case you haven’t figured it out. I’m a fan

Check out Breaking Chains and a whole lot of other music from Newfoundland on the NL Mixtape.
