Youngtree & The Blooms: Heaven Ain’t A Lonely Road

I’m a big fan of Youngtree and The Blooms.

The alt-country-rock ensemble won me over with ‘She Found Me’ from their 2018 album Musical Chairs. It quickly found its way on to my playlists and hasn’t disappeared. In fact, I doubled down and invested in a physical copy — I bought Musical Chairs on vinyl a couple of months ago.

It’s not just that Youngtree and The Blooms sound great (and they definitely do), it’s the songwriting of Peter Willie Youngtree that has kept me returning — its insightful and always interesting.

I was excited to discover that Youngtree and The Blooms had a new self-titled album in the works. The debut single from it, Heaven Ain’t A Lonely Road was released today. Its a fantastic piece melodic, alt-folk. It’s already on my playlists… I think it better get comfortable there.

Check it out.
