This Day: Let You Go

St. John’s-based band This Day… have got alt-pop sorted. They’ve been making music with enough pop momentum and rock energy to cut through the worst Newfoundland spring fog and make any grey morning feel alive.

The band has released a series of tracks that are infectiously, repeatable. They make me want to move and, perhaps to the detriment of those in earshot, sing along.

Their latest offering “Let You Go” is no different — and it’s giving me waves of nostalgia. It sounds influenced —in the best way possible— by the sounds of the early 2000s.

It’s worth hearing — check it out now wherever you get your music.
