GLVN: Goodbye

Newfoundland-born, Toronto-based EDM artist GLVN (aka Brian Glavine) is making some interesting electro-pop music. Over the last couple of years GLVN has released a series of tracks that are getting him noticed. If you’re unfamiliar, start with 2020’s ‘Never Ending Encore’ to hear what you’ve been missing.

The jump ahead to today and ‘Goodbye.’

Released just this week, ‘Goodbye’ has a great chill-out vibe and solid melodic hook — perfect escapist pop, really. It’s a great soundtrack for decompressing and leaving the world behind.

The Love and Lies of Mildred Baxter and Paul Langstone

Mildred Baxter was waiting in England for her fiance to return from Harbour Breton, Newfoundland when she discovered he’d married someone else. She disguised herself in a jacket and trousers, crossed the Atlantic and confronted him in such a spectacular way that they still tell the story today.
