I Saw Her Pick You Up… by The Novaks

Great music is timeless — that’s why The Novaks never get old.

The S.John’s, NL band has a back catalogue filled with gems but I’ve been listening to 2016’s Eager Power Gentle Fury of repeat for weeks now — especially the album opener ‘I Saw Her Pick You Up Outside Your House Last Night.’ There’s something so… satisfying…about it.

It’s kinda angry and kinda cathartic in a beautiful blend of loud guitar and quiet contemplation… and who hasn’t at one time or another wanted to wail “Baby, how could you?”

If you don’t know it, check it out now.

If you do remember it, it’s a great time to stroll down memory lane — the best tunes (#tbt) never go out of style.

On the subject of The Novaks, they have a new vinyl/digital ep, Strange Children, coming out tomorrow.

You can get it at Fred’s Records.
