Tales, Tunes and Toutons podcast

I drive a lot. One of the few things — other than constant pothole vigilance — that keeps me from falling victim to road hypnosis is a good podcast.

One of my new favourites is Tales, Tunes and Toutons. It’s a Newfoundland & Labrador-based podcast but, with toutons in the title, that may go without saying.

It couldn’t be more up my alley.

Each episode has hosts Sarah and Jenn recount a story from Newfoundland and Labrador history accompanied by a local song.

They’ve taught me new things about the province and they’ve managed to do it in an entertaining and engaging way. In a way I’m glad I’ve only recently discovered them because it’s allowed me to binge. I’m over halfway through their nearly 40 episode catelogue and I’ve enjoyed them all. Truthfully, at this point I’m sort of rationing, I don’t want to have to wait for new bi-weekly content!

If you’re the kind of person who follows my stuff— trivia, folklore and various NL tidbits. I’m sure you’d like it, too.

Check it out!
