A bit of a throwback — but that’s the magic of Christmas songs. They’re evergreen, and the best ones get wrapped up in nostalgia. Wham’s Last Christmas is one of those tracks that’s felt like a holiday staple since the day it was released.
Lately, though, it’s no longer my go-to. I’ve been hooked on the Jerry Stamp cover featuring King Nancy, from Stamp’s 2009 I, Noel album. It leans into a rockier sound than the original, and that edge really works.
