Ana and Eric are a St. John’s-based Brazilian duo who’ve been making a name in the local music scene.

I frequently return to their 2020 collection Hope — particularly tracks “Lights My Way” and the title track.

I was excited to discover they had some new music and, their latest single doesn’t disappoint. The song “I Can See Our House From Here" is, according to their Instagram post, “about all the beauty that surrounds us, that frequently goes unnoticed. It's also about the relationships with spaces around us and growing roots in Newfoundland”.

It’s uplifting, it sounds great and has some fun imagery (including tropical snowstorms).

It’s feels like a great Spring song and is a welcome addition to my playlists.
