Brookfield Line: Pick Me Up

St. John’s- based Brookfield Line is breaking through the RDF… or that’s the feeling their new single is giving me.

Ray of sunshine in the grey vibes.

The band’s ‘Pick Me Up’ is a danceable rock track that doesn’t want to quit. It’s infectious, melodic and has enough upbeat energy to power through dreariest Monday morning mood… it gave me the drive to get up and get out the door.

In short, the title doesn’t lie.

The single has a fantastic retro feel and I suppose that makes sense. BL made a name for themselves studying some rock masters — they grew out of a Beatles tribute act — but they’re forging their own identity.

Check them out.
