Until You Are Sorry (Live) by Carolina East

Carolina East has just released a new live version of “Until You Are Sorry,” a standout track from her 2021 album Soaked in Whisky—and this one comes with some serious backup. The track features Alan Doyle and the Beautiful Band, adding rich harmonies and texture to an already emotional tune.

The live version dials up the intensity without losing what made the original work: East’s powerhouse vocals and a chorus that begs to be sung along to. There’s a raw, stripped-down honesty in this version that makes the heartbreak feel a little closer to the surface.

“I poured my heart, soul, and a suspicious amount of coffee into this song,” East shared on Instagram. “And somehow convinced the legendary Alan Doyle and the Beautiful Band to join me without using bribes or baked goods (well… maybe a few baked goods).”

Whether you’ve loved someone, lost someone, or just need a good excuse to get in touch with your feelings, this one’s for you. Until You Are Sorry (Live) is streaming now wherever you get your music.

I’m obsessed with music from Newfoundland and Labrador…

It’s fresh, wild, and full of surprises. The artists here are pumping out so much new stuff, it’s hard to keep up. So, I started a playlist of my faves—tons of genres, but the only rule is they’re local and totally repeat-worthy. I update it regularly, so follow along (on Spotify, Apple Music or Youtube).

Trust me, there’s a ton of good stuff coming your way.
