Hope at Christmas by Doug White & Kathy Stock

sincere, warm, and full of heart

Doug White and Kathy Stock are delivering something special this Christmas. Their new release, “Hope at Christmas” is a heartfelt collaboration recorded live off the floor at White’s studio in Portugal Cove–St. Philip’s, and it delivers exactly what its title promises — a gentle blend of hope and heartbreak that feels like it nails the complexity of the season right on the head.

This might be my favourite kind of Christmas song: one that makes space for the complicated side of the season. The holidays aren’t always jingle bells, warm lights, and family gathered ’round. Sometimes they’re heavy. Sometimes they hurt. Hope at Christmas recognizes that truth and still finds a way to reach for the light.

It’s a beautiful track — sincere, warm, and full of heart — and it absolutely deserves a place on your Christmas playlists.
