I’ve made no secret of my love for With Violet, so whenever they drop something new, I’m all ears. Following up the success of their sophomore album Saturday Nights In Your Sunday Best, the band is back with something a little different — and a lot of fun.
The Weekend Remix is a new EP that takes the infectious melodies and emotional weight of the original album and flips them on their head. These aren’t just dancefloor edits — they’re full-on reimaginings, each one adding a jolt of fresh energy, without losing sight of what made the songs great in the first place.
To pull it off, With Violet teamed up with some of the East Coast’s most exciting producers and DJs: ECMA winner Alex Byrne, rising newcomer DaCoda, electrifying house-techno artist Bangtek, and dynamic duo DJ Dy5lexc and NOOF. The result? A mashup of sounds that span electronic, house, and dance-pop — all grounded in the band’s signature songwriting.
These remixes feel tailor-made for summer nights: loud, layered, and a little bit frenetic. I’m here for it.
